EALÁT Featured in IPY 'Beyond The Poles' Documentary
By philip - 5/6/2009 EALÁT Featured in IPY 'Beyond The Poles' Documentary The International Polar Foundation late last year produced a30 minute documentary that gave an overview of the Internation Polar Year called "Beyond the Poles". This is a a celebration of the 4th IPY, "Beyond the Poles" explores some of the polar research projects carried out across the globe and offers a wider perspective into the future of our planet. Excitingly, for EALÁT, our project was one of the very few selected for inclusion in the documentary and the only project that was concerned with people to be covered. Footage from the EALÁT workshop in Topolinoe, Sakha (Yakutia) was used. You can now watch the whole documentary here on the Arctic Portal More about the International Polar Foundation here
